Body of Script

Once you've given your audience a sense of your structure, proceed to the body of your script. This is where you sell your message by providing a set of arguments that will lead your audience to the same conclusion you have drawn. To create your main proof points, choose one of the following patterns of organization.

Reasons. This pattern sets forth the reasons your message is valid.

Ways. This pattern shows the ways your message is true.

Situation/Response. This pattern shows first a situation, challenge, or opportunity, and then your response or solution to that situation.

Present Results/Future Prospects. This “update” structure first discusses what's happened to date, and then what you envision in the future.

Chronological. This structure is a step-by-step structure in which the points reflect stages in a process or events over time.
